The logo was inspired by the silhouette of a traditional Swedish Fritidshus, paired with typography that echoes Nordic script styles. Illustrations featured modernized Nordic characters that align with the brand’s calm and welcoming tone. The interior blends raw textures like stone, brick, and stucco with wild greenery to evoke the Swedish countryside, while the mezzanine adds a cozy, modern Nordic ambiance—perfectly capturing the essence of Fika.

Challenges

To develop a distinctive and authentic brand identity that reflects the philosophy of Fika—the Swedish ritual of pausing, relaxing, and connecting. The aim was to merge traditional Nordic elements with a modern sensibility across both branding and interior design. We needed to create a warm and immersive space that evokes the natural simplicity and comfort of the Scandinavian countryside while maintaining a fresh, contemporary feel. Ultimately, the goal was to transform the coffee shop into more than just a venue—it had to become a cultural experience rooted in calm, connection, and design clarity.cultural experience rooted in calm, connection, and design clarity.
